Course Goal / Objective
Providing information about the bacterial genetic characteristics and application of these properties in molecular genetic techniques
Course Content
Bacterial genomic structure, replication, gene expression, plasmids, bacteriophages, transposons, vectors, conjugation, transduction, transformation, bacterial mutations, plasticity region genes and pathogenicity islands in bacteria, restriction and ligation of DNA molecules, recombinant DNA technology, gene cloning and its applications, gene libraries, DNA sequence analysis
