Course Goal / Objective

To teach the mechanisms of action of antiviral drugs, to understand their clinical use and resistance development, and to provide the ability to evaluate appropriate treatment strategies.

Course Content

This course covers the mechanisms of action, classification, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of antiviral drugs. Antiviral agents used against DNA and RNA viruses, resistance mechanisms, adverse effects, and clinical applications are discussed.

Course Precondition

Basic knowledge of Microbiology and Virology, is recommended.
