Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach transgenic animal technologies, methods of obtaining transgenic animals, and in vivo models for experimental studies.

Course Content

Transgenic animal production, products and technologies, embryology, superovulation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, microinjection, somatic cell transfer (cloning), retrovirus-mediated gene transfer, embryonic stem cell mediated gene transfer, new generation gene regulation tools and their use, transgenic animal design (selection of cattle, sheep, poultry, laboratory animals).
