Course Goal / Objective
To teach the concepts and methods related to soil and soil tillage, to classify the soil tillage machines used in agricultural production, to teach working principles and their basic parts, to provide understanding of soil and seed germination mechanics, to provide solutions for crop emergence problems related to soil tillage
Course Content
Soil and tillage concepts, the purpose and technical principles of soil tillage, tillage methods, soil moisture, soil properties affected by soil tillage machines, soil penetration resistance, classification of soil tillage machines, working principles, seedbed preparation, seed germination and emergence, soil tillage effect on germination, emergence, plant growth, yield
