Course Goal / Objective

To determine the process of glass before and after the melting process of the glass. To determine the oven diagram for the relationship between the glass structure and thermal expansion. To explain the physical properties of glass, its relation to glass composition, to interpret the change of glass density depending on the glass components, to interpret the chemical resistance of glass depending on the composition.

Course Content

Determines furnace schedules oriented to relation between glass structure and thermal expansion in glasses. Describes probable problems about thermal expansion, after glass melting and shaping.explain relation between physical properties of glass and glass composition. define chemical durability of glass according to compound.
