Course Goal / Objective

Understanding factors affecting agricultural commodity prices; being able to annual and seasonal changes in prices; making future price estimations

Course Content

Analysis of price movements in agricultural and food commodities; relations between agricultural commodity, related input prices and general price level, price indices and parities; derivative demand; supply response; classification and measurement of characteristic price movements; trends; seosonal fluctiations; conjunctural price movements; temporary and irregular price movements; relations between time series; qualitative analysis of supply and demand; vertically and horizontally related markets
