Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide the students with information about the risks that threaten the health and safety of human health in the facilities and laboratories related to the environment. To teach the measures to be taken in dangerous conditions.
Course Content
General principles, evaluation of hazards, minimization of contact with microorganisms and chemicals, evaluation of risks, providing adequate ventilation, acting according to microbiological and chemical hygiene plan, safety organization and responsibilities in facilities and laboratories, informing of working personnel, revealing facility and laboratory facilities Basic principles of the classification and use of chemicals in facilities and laboratories, Basic safety rules in facilities and laboratories, Plant and laboratory accidents and first aid, Storage of waste and chemicals, Disposal of microbiological wastes.
