Course Goal / Objective
The aim of the course is to provide the students with the historical and historical structures in different scales; to discuss different theoretical principles and architectural approaches in the dilemma of traditional-contemporary concepts. In this context, students of history redesign of vacant space in the urban fabric, to harmonize the present conditions of traditional structures and re-use of new, additional cases in historical buildings in Turkey as protective top cover applications in archaeological and conservation through different applications made in the world of architecture and design principles It is aimed to develop the theoretical infrastructures for gaining evaluation and forming skills together.
Course Content
The subjects covered in the course are discussed in a scale that goes down to the building scale from the discussions on old-new construction in urban protection; In addition, archaeological areas and archaeological areas of the top cover applications for a discussion environment is provided. In the last part of the course, it is aimed to contribute to the current debates in the context of urban design, urban design, architectural design and architectural protection.
