Course Goal / Objective
Today, textile and clothing designers style creation, brand creation and popular fashion trends in the discussion of the efforts to present, to offer contemporary solutions. The aim of this course is to make researches about the trends of successful contemporary fashion designers' clothes and thus to expand their vision about the field.
Course Content
Design schools and designers affecting the periods; color, pattern, style and requirements in different cultures. Ethical reflections of textile and clothing styles, political, economic, psychological factors that direct social events and effects of artistic events on design trends. Effects of science and technology on art, developing technology, digital virtual environment, rapid communication sources and effects of globalization on textile and clothing designs in 20th and 21st century. Investigating and questioning the classical and modern design trends in a new century.
