Course Goal / Objective

This course introduces the basic theories and procedures of group counseling. Class participants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of theories and procedures used in group settings

Course Content

A study of group development, dynamics, and theories in relation to group guidance, group counseling, and group therapy. Leadership styles, techniques and roles are explored, and ethical and legal issues related to group interventions are discussed.
