Course Goal / Objective
Preparing students for graduate thesis. Students find an opportunity to make research on topics those are not otherwise available in other formal courses. An individual course of study is followed under the supervision of the thesis advisor so that the student can determine his/her thesis subject. This includes choosing a thesis subject, preparing a written thesis proposal and presenting it in front of the academic committee. The course starts with the admission of the student to the program and ends when the student completes his/her M. Sc. thesis and graduates, though with somewhat different topics.
Course Content
Thesis proposal, choosing a proper research subject, literature review, interpreting results of scientific articles, determining data to be required for a special research, assessment of data adequacy of data resources, data collection techniques, diffrent sections of thesis proposal (importance of the subject, objectives of the study, literature review, material and methods, work plan, references)
