Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to learn parasitic weed species, parasitization mechanisms of these species, germination and development biology and their management in detail.

Course Content

Parasitic weeds are parasitic plants that cause heavy yield losses and are very difficult to manage. Parasitic weeds are classified as holo or hemiparasitic. They penetrates the host plants twith their unique structures. If the population intensities are high and not control, they can kill the crop plant. The biology and management of these plants are the content of this course.
