Course Goal / Objective

In this course, the structure and operation of public economics will be discussed from various perspectives and it is aimed to make comparative analysis of public economy and market economy.

Course Content

Within the scope of the course, the reasons of state intervention in the economy and the question of state cause exist, externalities, public goods, natural monopolies are analyzed with the necessary figures and analyzes, while public choice theory and public sector analysis are planned. While income distribution policies, cost-benefit analyzes will be included in the course, the effects of taxes on income distribution and resource allocation will be discussed.
