Course Goal / Objective

To understand the concepts of social inequalityand social distance and their relation to social processes.

Course Content

Examining the powerand its effect, the social distribution of income and wealth, the status, education and specialization in the formation of social fortune in stratification, and general theoriesabout stratification, as well as the current theories of social stratification and social inequalities; class, statusand powerare examined in detail.
