Course Goal / Objective

To identify outdoor learning environments and to gain the skill of organizing these environments which support learning; to identify the methods and techniques suitable for outdoor learning environments; to gain the skill of planning, implementing and evaluating the outdoor learning activities according to the outcomes.

Course Content

The concepts of outdoor education and learning; the scope and importance of outdoor learning; instruction in outdoor environments; instructional methods, techniques (project based learning, etc) and instructional materials; outdoor learning environments (museums, science centers, zoos, botanics, planetariums, industrial enterprises, national parks; science festivals, science camps, natural environments..etc); improvements of outdoor learning environments; planning, implementing and evaluating outdoor learning environments
