Course Goal / Objective

To provide students with the basic knowledge of surveying methods for determining the shape and size of the agricultural plots; developing the longitudinal and transverse profiles and calculating the excavation and filling requirements, and determining the cut/fill slope

Course Content

Measuring of distances with simple devices; triangles and orthogonal method in measuring of relatively small areas; sketching of plants; calculations of areas; levels and leveling; reading of angles and horizontal distances and elevations with levels; topographic leveling and profiles; mapping; area measurements on plans.
