Course Goal / Objective

The purpose of this course is to give the principles and applications of the instrumental techniques such as ultraviolet, infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectroscopic used in qualitative analysis and structural elucidation of drugs and application of drugs synthesis.

Course Content

The course contains the knowledge, principles and applications of the instrumental techniques such as ultraviolet, infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectroscopic and elementary analysis used in qualitative analysis and structural elucidation of drugs. Literature studies are conducted on the synthesis and analysis of some drugs.

LO02 The student who completes this course the ability of structural elucidation of the molecule using all spectral data at the same time.
LO03 The student who completes this course learn how to reach to the structure of unknown compound by means of spectral data.
LO04 The student who completes this course learn knowledge and application skills about the synthesis of selected drug molecules.
LO05 The student who completes this course learn how to reach to the information of analysis and mechanism of action of the compounds synthesized using databases and scientific resources.
