Course Goal / Objective

The general aim of this course is to introduce the pharmaceutical chemistry course to the students; to inform the students about the difficulties / complexity and stages of drug design and methods to discover of lead compound; the steps and the procedures of rational drug design, computer aided/assisted drug design; molecular modification methods and quantitative structure-activity reletionship studies for the optimization of lead compound.

Course content is the basic concepts of pharmaceutical chemistry, procedures and methods of.drug design and new drug development.
