Course Goal / Objective

Students taking this course: Develop a critical perspective on data journalism, To learn the basic information about data collection and cleaning, Developing skills related to data analysis and interpretation, Learning visualization methods It is expected.

Course Content

The aim of Data Journalism course is to understand the basic data of this field: data acquisition, data collection, data classification, data analysis, practical and theoretical understanding of the data visualization process, and the open data relationship by using the right to information. Data journalism in the developing Internet world; To teach how online is developing as a result of computer-aided journalism and data-based journalism, as a future of journalism and how it plays a powerful role in news-transfer more effectively through online open sources, tools and techniques.
