Course Goal / Objective

The overall objective of this course, is to supply that the student teachers have knowledge and practice about the importance and scope of science education and techniques used in science education

Course Content

The importance of science education in preschool period, the place of science education in preschool education program and the duties of teachers, planning, applying and evaluating the science activities for preschool period, theories of cognitive development in child, concept development and education in preschool period, skills of scientific process, examination of materials prepared for science education in preschool period, science concepts proposed to be addressed in preschool education, methods and techniques used in science education for preschool (field trip, experiment, project and analogy), overall evaluation
