Course Goal / Objective

To learn the textile materials and application techniques , and develop manual skills.

Course Content

Slideshow with narrative threads are made of tissue . Students are directed to textures and materials research. As a result of Researches, provided to create new textile surfaces in new tissues .

LO01 The basis of textile design is ' TEXTURE ' case thorough investigation , fabrics, natural- artificial fibers , fiber and yarn research on textile products of different materials , such as by using a mix of traditional and innovative methods of application ( embroidery , applique, sewing pressure , etc.). new surfaces are created .
LO02 The learner's material knowledge develops.
LO03 The skill of the hand develops as to how the student combines the textile materials.

Week Plan

Week Topic Preparation Methods
1 What is texture, How do we perceive texture in nature, What are printed and seek with mixed textures in textile design process, Explanatory lecture questions . Students should research the concept of structure.
2 The slide presentation containing samples of tissue with tissue concept is reinforced and switched to materials research . Photographs of natural structure or live samples should be collected.
3 Presentations on research and Determination the design themes than materials research . The student must come to the classroom with a material search.
4 To begin to sketches and projects in line with the selected technicals and themes. The material survey has been completed and the technical and design must have suitable materials available.
5 Sketch assessment and Master of Design Studies, Practice and presentations. The student has completed the sketches and must be ready to present.
6 Main Design Studies , Practice and presentations. The student has completed the sketches and must be ready to present.
7 Main Design Studies , Practice and presentations. The student must be present at the class with approved sketch exercises and materials.
8 Mid-Term Exam The student is ready to deliver all finished and approved tissue studies in a pas- saged form.
9 Gains obtained by forming the composition results in a textured surface , finished 50x70 cm was prepared so that design sketches on canvas. The student must be pre-explored and ready.
