Course Goal / Objective
This course aims at teaching the classification of fibers, giving an understanding of the effect of fiber properties during subsequent textile processes, Recognition of artificial fibers, production stages, learning, recognition of properties and areas of use
Course Content
Defination of textile materials. Classification and basic features of textile materials. General molecular structures of fibres. Vegetable fibers. Cellulose. Physical and chemical structure of cotton fibre, features, gining and standardization. Linen, hemp, jüte, Animal fibres. Protein. Classification of Artificial Fibers, Production Stages, Properties of Most Used Artificial Fibers and Their Uses
