Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is apprehending the phylosophy of Reforms in the Ottoman period, teaching the artists and art works of the era.
Course Content
The content of this course is evaluating the social, political and cultural effects and innovations of the Tanzimat era, the importance of journalism in the Tanzimat period, Defining novel, story, critics as a kind of literature, the famous novelist of the Tanzimat period. a critical approach in Turkish poetry, poetry formats of the Tanzimat Period, the literary differences between Tanzimat period artists, the importance of translation activities of the period.
