Course Goal / Objective

Students evaluate the status of malpractice, take the necessary precautions, ensures the safety of themselves and their patients. Students know necessary legislations

Course Content

Malpractice: conceptual framework and definitions, patient rights, health professionals rights, Patient safety, health professionals safety, defects and liability, legal responsibility of health professonals, case report,distinction of malpractice, complications, medical malpractice and risk management , criminal sanctions of malpractise,situations commonly encountered by midwives in malpractice, professional liability insurance, example cases and analysis.
