Course Goal / Objective
To know the areas of spiritual counseling, to have knowledge about the processes and institutions related to the conduct of religious services, to have knowledge about planning of religious services for people and institutions in need, to gain attitude and behaviors that can carry out religious services and guidance activities.
Course Content
Basic concepts and principles of spiritual counseling. Spiritual counseling in the context of multicultural counseling, universal values of religion and spirituality. Spirituality, morality, psychological counseling and psychotherapy. Belief, morality and identity development. Religious (theological), philosophical, sociological and psychological foundations of spiritual counseling. The relation of help in monotheistic religions and eastern religions. Spiritual counseling in the context of mourning, emotional regulation, conscious awareness, well being, forgiveness, resistance, authenticity. Spiritual measurement, ethical in spiritual counseling.
