Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to provide students with a better understanding of the term 'human rights' in theory and practice.

Course Content

The complex relationship between media and human rights will be examined with a focus on children, the elderly and the disabled. Terrorism, immigration, discrimination, hate speech, genocide and death penalty will be discussed. Observation of various human rights violations and making them news will also be discussed.
