Course Goal / Objective

Survey of key sites of the Chalcolithic period (6th-4th millennium) in Anatolia, and evaluation of evidence for developing social complexity in different parts of Anatolia.

Course Content

Cultural and social developments in southeastern Anatolia from Late Neolitic through Late Chalcolithic periods (7th-4th millennia BC); Chalcolithic developments in the central, Black Sea and Aegean regions of Anatolia.
