Course Goal / Objective

Surveying the archaeology and art of ancient Egypt from the First Intermediate period to the Late Period.

Course Content

First Intermediate and Middle Kingdom tombs, architecture, art and foreign relations (ca. 2180-1780 BC); Second Intermediate period and the Hyksos (ca. 1780-1550 BC); New Kingdom tombs, architecture, art and foreign relations (ca. 1550-1070 BC); Third Intermediate and Late Period tombs, architecture, art and foreign relations (ca. 1070-320 BC).
