Course Goal / Objective
To introduce the science of chemistry, to gain the knowledge of chemistry at the level to understand, comment and use the events in everyday and scientific life.
Course Content
Properties and measurement of the material; Atoms and atomic theory; Chemical compounds; Chemical reactions; Aqueous solution reactions; Gases; Thermochemistry; Atmospheric gases and hydrogen; Atmospheric pollution and energy issues; Atomic electron structure; Periodic table and some atomic properties; Chemical Bonds I: Basic Concepts; Chemical Bonds II: Bonding theories; Liquids, interactions and intermolecular forces are taught through theoretical lectures, examples and applications.
