Course Goal / Objective

Purpose of this course to understand the basic methods of experimental particle physics

Course Content

The history of particle accelerators, linear and circular accelerators, accelerators applications of nuclear physics, CERN, FNAL, DESY, KEK, Turkish Accelerator Center, next-generation accelerators of charged particles, and the interaction of radiation with matter I, II interaction of charged particles and radiation with matter, particle detectors Calorimeter; Vertex Detectors; Muon Spectrometer; large hadron collider detector systems I; large hadron collider detector systems II.
