Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach principles and concepts of biotechnology and tissue culture.
Course Content
Concepts and historical development of biotechnology, tissue and cell culture used in plant biotechnology, regeneration methods, culture types, culture media and formation, protoplast fusion, haploidy and diaplaisation, somaclonal variation, genetic engineering and application areas in agriculture.
