Course Goal / Objective

This course is aimed at students; To understand the mechanization techniques applied in greenhouse cultivation and the latest technological developments related to greenhouse mechanization in order to get more income from the unit side in agricultural production and to improve the problem solving techniques related to greenhouse air conditioning depending on plant requirements.

Course Content

Regulation of greenhouse air conditions: greenhouse heating methods and their main applications, determination of greenhouse heat requirement, calculation of heating surface and heating boiler capacities. Natural and forced ventilation methods and their main applications, calculations related to greenhouse ventilation. Calculation methods and main applications of sub-systems, Calculation of cooling systems with wet surface systems. Artificial lighting applications.
