Course Goal / Objective

The primary objective of this course is to study and learn how to observe children and their development -physical, social, and emotional development. Also participants will be acquainted with the means of observing and recording the behavior of children and to help the participants apply those means.

Course Content

Explanations of how to observe and what to observe in children. Utilization of specific observational tasks and forms such as charts, checklists, etc. Ethics and objectivity as they pertain to observation and working with children. Observation in all contexts - at home, in child care centers, etc.
