Course Goal / Objective
The concept of field irrigation and drainage, important principles, measurement techniques of irrigation water, the provision of irrigation water, irrigation programming approaches used, the plant water consumption, irrigation methods, preliminary information is necessary for planning and evaluation of the system, drainage surveys, drainage and irrigation methods to give their relationship.
Course Content
Definitions and the importance of irrigation and drainage, irrigation, measurement techniques, the provision of irrigation water, irrigation scheduling, crop water consumption accounts, irrigation methods, surface irrigation, sprinkler and drip irrigation methods, the basic principles of the preliminary information necessary for planning and evaluation of the system, drainage surveys drainage methods and irrigation drainage water quality relationships.
