Course Goal / Objective

Learns about the identitification,collection,conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resource

Course Content

Plant genetic resources and orjin, impact of the human on Plant genetic resources, the effects of natural disasters and urbanization, Plant genetic resources (PGR) and biodiversity, conservation of Plant genetic resources, endemic plants, the sustainable utilization of Plant genetic resources of cultivated and uncultivated, plants,utilization and conservation of plant genetic source, advances in-situ and ex-situ conservation technics, database and network, plant collection rurals

LO01 Explains the theoretical concepts and techniques for the identification, collection, conservation, documentation, and sustainable use of plant genetic resources.
LO02 Defines and applies the methods and techniques for the utilization, conservation, collection, and storage of genetic resources.
LO03 Evaluates and interprets genetic variation in both in situ (national parks) and ex situ (gene banks, living collections, arboretums) collections.
LO04 Analyzes national and international regulations regarding biodiversity, biosafety, genetic erosion, and plant genetic resources, and communicates with relevant organizations in this field.
LO05 Defines and explains the genetic and distribution centers of plants, the significance of endemic plants, plant formations, and plant groups.
