Course Goal / Objective

Having a basic opinion on clothing by studying the history and the evolution of clothes.

Course Content

Studying the history and the evolution of clothes; the functions and making clothing. Dress is defined as the total arrangement of all outwardly detectable modifications of the body itself and all material objects added to it; including all accessories, hairstyles, and any other alterations made to the body.

2 Spread of fashion: Clothes, accessories, Sizes, Housing and automobiles. The socio-psychology of fashion. Library and internet research
3 Clothes, Fashion and history of fashion in clothes. Events, societies, people that affect fashion, fashion trends. Assigning research topics.
4 Evolution of Clothes- ancient Egypt: Clothing materials, Production, dress, Headdresses, Footwear. History of ancient Mesopotamia clothin There will be fashion history timeline. Library and internet research.
5 History of the ancient Cretan clothes. Ancient Greek clothing history Preparation of visual presentations. Timeline of the Ancient Girit ve Ancient Yunan period for the collection of their images.
