Course Goal / Objective

In accordance with the teachings of architectural history, architecture, design theories of the world trying to explain, Ancient Roman Architecture, Architecture of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance Period End Up to the architectural heritage of the process to introduce, so that better assessments can be made for contemporary architecture and design, architecture, change the world provide understanding of line.

Course Content

Architecture in Europe in the Middle Ages, Romanesque and Gothic period. Changing concepts in architecture: Renaissance , Mannerism, Baroque and the Age of Enlightenment. Buildings of particular importance in relation the social and cultural background.

LO01 Ancient Roman architecture in the world until the Baroque period, understanding the process of change.
LO02 Roman, Medieval and Islamic art and architectural heritage period, and that the sensitivity to the acquisition of basic information.
LO03 Analyzes the semantic relationship between before and after the medieval architecture and the culture that creates it.
LO04 Comprehends the reflection of the relationships on cultural, economic, geographical, etc., differences between European and the Islamic art of the Middle Ages.
LO05 Studies the changes in the architecture of different regions and examines the reasons.
LO06 Builds and designs new methods and designs out of the critical comments of the architectural style before and after medieval era.
LO07 ummarizes the general architectural features of different historical periods.
