Course Goal / Objective

Gaining the ability of calculating the internal forces and force-displacement, stress-strain relations in structural members

Course Content

Introduction to stress and displacement concepts. Stress calculation of axially loaded elements. Stress and displacement at a point. Convertion rules for stress and displacement. Mohr circle. Static momentum, inertia momentum. Simple bending. Bending of bars under vertical loads. Sliding center. Combined resistance status; bending and bending with axial loads.
