Course Goal / Objective
The primary aim of this course is to discuss design, planning, control and coordination problems faced in todays integrated supply chains.
Course Content
Overview of logistics and supply chain systems, Demand forecasting, Inventory management, Lot sizing, EOQ and some extensions, Safety stock, Inventory policy with probabilistic demand, Finite planning horizon, Material Requirements Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Single period inventory models, Supply contracts, Management of uncertainty, Transportation management, Auction theory, Modern procurement, Collaboration - coordinating the supply chain, Dynamic pricing and yield management
