Course Goal / Objective

To discuss the reasons of the problem of underdevelopment and the possibilities of solutions in relation to the agriculture sector. Thus, to train individuals who can question agricultural and national development policies and contribute to the decision-making process of policies.

Course Content

The problem of underdevelopment; Concepts of economic growth and development; Traditional growth and development theories; The problem of measurement and identification of development; Main characteristics of underdeveloped countries; The role of agriculture in economic development; Agricultural development stages and common trends; Theory and models of agricultural development; Globalization and development
