Course Goal / Objective
This course will examine theoretical issues related to the psychology of sport and exercise; theories of motivation and exercise behavior will be examined in relation to the increasing problems of exercise adherence and physical inactivity. Other topics that will be discussed include: the psychological benefits of exercise, personality and exercise, body image and exercise.Various techniques will be discussed in relation to motivating exercise behaviors.
Course Content
In the content of this course definition of sport and exercise psychology, motivation and exercise behavior, psychological effects of exercise, personality and exercise, body image and exercise, motivational methods for exercise.
