Course Goal / Objective

To teach determining according to standards engineering behaviors of soils

Course Content

Compaction test, Consolidation test, Uniaxial (unconfined compression) test, Shear box test (UU), Shear box test (CU-CD), Determination of shear strength parameters by means of the Shear box test results, Triaxial compression test (UU), Triaxial compression test (CU-CD), Determination of shear strength parameters by means of triaxial compression test results, Determination of bearing capacity of soil, Stresses impacting into the soil and pressures made upon retaining structures of soil, To be written the ground study report
