Course Goal / Objective

To assess the promises and problematics of media representations in media and entertainment culture. To be critical around the issue of media culture and social change.

Course Content

This lecture examines the potentials and possibilities of social change and advocacy in contemporary media culture, with a focus on how diverse groups, such as governmental agencies, advocacy groups, celebrities and others make use of the media, social media, and the entertainment industry to promote social change.
