Course Goal / Objective
The course aims to provide particular knowledge of external and internal factors of human behaviour, common patterns and deviations of human behavior, to provide mental health protection, maintain progress and development in the discipline, treat and rehabilitate mental illnesses. Diagnose the post partum mental illnesses and apply the appropriate treatments. Able to guide women during pregnancy and postpartum period . To help establish a positive relationship between the mother and the baby.
Course Content
Bio-psycho-social aspects of human and behaviors, factors affecting the concept of mental health and mental health, culture and psychiatry, psychodynamic principles of behavior, self- defense devices, general symptoms of psychiatric diseases. classification of mental diseases, personality development, eight stages of human development and psychological problems, mental disorders midwery care, stress and stress management, treatment methods applied in the field of mental health, community mental health services in the world and our country, rehabilitation in psychiatry, legal directions in psychiatry, patient rights and ethical ıssues, crisis and crisis intervention, postpartum mental diseases, factors affecting the women mental health, mental health in pregnancy, and during labor and midwery care.
