Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to teach plant disease-causing abiotic and biotic factors (fungi, bacteria, phytoplasma, spiroplazma, viruses and viroid), their symptoms on many crops, general information on plant parasitic weeds and their management methods. The aim of this course is to teach definition of insect pests, separating them from other Arthropods, general morphology of insect and their metamorphosis To give information about economically important insect orders and some important families To give detailed information about insect pest control methods

Course Content

Knows basic knowledge and consept about Entomology Knows insect morphology, reproduction, development and metamorphosis Gains knowledge about controlling methods used against insects Knows some of the basic knowledge and concepts of plant diseases General information on symptoms of plant diseases, life cycles, and control strategies.
