Course Goal / Objective

The main objective of the course is to teach the students computer aided drawing and design program AUTOCAD, to enable them to understand the general concepts of engineering drawing and general principles of AUTOCAD software.

Course Content

General CAD Terminology and CAD user interface and drawing editor. Technical drawing concepts: orthographic drawing, isometric and oblique projections and sectioning, basic dimensioning techniques, plotting and printing techniques, introduction to model space and paper space concepts, civil engineering applications.
