Course Goal / Objective
With this course, it is aimed to provide the student with an awareness of the environment, to investigate the causes of pollution, to remove and store wastewater and to have treatment facilities built.
Course Content
Environment and human relationship, Factors causing environmental pollution, Measures that can be taken to prevent environmental pollution, Determination of waste water flows returning from structures, Principles of creating a used water project, Types of sewerage networks (Discrete-combined system) and project design principles, Sewerage structures (Inspection chimney, washing chimney, manhole, grid) and projecting principles, Hydraulic calculation of sewerage networks, Design principles of waste water storage structures (Septic tanks), Residual water treatment methods (Natural, biological, chemical) and design principles of treatment plants
