Course Goal / Objective

Learns mushroom species cultured and collected fom nature, their production quantities, growing conditions, methods, problems during production, all of the production steps from composting.

Course Content

Isolation of spores from mushroom, obtaining of mycellium from spores, composting, sowing mycellium to compost, eceological conditions for mushroom production, cultural practices, harvesting, mushroom disease and pest, history of mushroom production, different production methods and mushroom biology.

Comments on mycelial propagation and obtaining seed mycelium in white-capped mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) cultivation. It refers to the ecological conditions required for the cultivation of white cap mushroom (Agaricus bisporus). Underlines the use of cover soil in the cultivation of white cap mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) and its reasons. Designs harvest and disease-pest control in white cap mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) cultivation.
LO03 Recognize substrate preparation in oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) cultivation. Discusses mycelial propagation and obtaining seed mycelia in oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) cultivation. Memorizes the ecological conditions required for oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) cultivation.
LO04 It refers to substrate preparation in shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) cultivation. It tells about mycelial propagation and obtaining seed mycelium in Shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) cultivation. Discusses the ecological conditions required for growing Shiitake mushrooms (Lentinula edodes).
