Course Goal / Objective

Providing the basic knowledge about breeding in farm animals

Course Content

Reproductive organs, male and female reproductive organs, reproductive hormones, reproductive cycle, biotechnological methods, sexual behavior and reproductive defects

LO02 Students can describe the reproductive cycle, the signs of oestrus and hormonal regulation in sheep and goats.

LO04 Students understand the practices and methods to increase fertility (synchronization, superovulation, artificial insemination, embryo transfer, etc.).
LO05 Students recognize reproductive disorders and infertility problems and develop solution suggestions.

LO07 Students understand the importance of record keeping and data analysis in small ruminant reproductive management.
