Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the main techniques applied in plant biotechnology laboratory.

Course Content

The contents of this course include the definition and application of plant biotechnology, solution preparation, microscope, centrifuge, use of PHmeter in biotechnology, plant tissue cultures, the preparation of liquid-solid LB medium, creation of a single colony of bacteria, Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated gene transfer, DNA isolation and quantification, PCR applications, agarose gel electrophoresis, polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, DNA sequence analysis.
